Intergovernmental Negotiations on Post-2015 Development Agenda – Sixth Session

The sixth session of the intergovernmental negotiations on the post-2015 development agenda will take place on 22-25 June 2015. The session is scheduled to focus on negotiating the outcome document of the September 2015 summit to adopt the post-2015 development agenda.

26th International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics General Assembly

The 26th general assembly of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG) will take place from 22 June to 2 July in Prague, the Czech Republic, under the theme 'Earth and Environmental Sciences for Future Generations.' Held every four years, the scientific programme of IUGG general assembly in 2015 will include lectures and presentations, panel discussions, poster sessions, business meetings and field trips.

UNEP-SBCI and GI-REC Joint Symposium on Sustainable Buildings and Cities: Supporting Climate mitigation through resource efficiency

The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) Sustainable Buildings and Climate Initiative (UNEP-SBCI) and the Global Initiative for Resource Efficient Cities (GI-REC) are organizing this joint symposium focusing on climate mitigation in the built environment. Hosted by ENERGIES 2050, the symposium will consider recent developments in international climate mitigation in the built environment, the role of role of cities and buildings in achieving greater resource efficiency, and lessons learned and financing opportunities for spurring broader action on resource efficient buildings and cities. Participants will also be introduced to the 10 Year Framework Programme (10YFP) on Sustainable Buildings and Construction.

UNGA High-level Event on Climate Change

The President of the 69th UN General Assembly, Sam Kutesa, will convene this high-level event, with the aim of giving momentum and adding impetus to efforts to reach a global agreement in 2015 under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Training Workshop for the Asia-Pacific and Eastern Europe on Vulnerability and Adaptation Assessment

The Consultative Group of Experts on National Communications from Parties not included in Annex I to the Convention (CGE) is organizing this hands-on training workshop for the Asia-Pacific and Eastern European regions on vulnerability and adaptation assessment, from 29 June - 3 July 2015.
